QuickAir Networks Ltd, a Nigerian aviation technology solutions provider, has restructured its operations and relaunched its domestic Global Distribution System (GDS) to strengthen booking services for travel agents nationwide.
The company, in a statement on Monday, announced the appointment of Suleiman Ibrahim as Chairman, Dr. Segun Oyebolu as Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Muyiwa Amoo as Executive Director, Finance and Administration.
According to QuickAir, the upgraded GDS platform offers real-time access to domestic flight inventories, multi-airline bookings, competitive fares, and integrated payment solutions. It is designed to address challenges such as fragmented booking systems and limited data access, which have long hampered the Nigerian aviation market.Ibrahim described the restructuring as a strategic step to reposition QuickAir in the aviation technology space. He also assured customers that wallet balances from the company’s suspended operations in December 2022 would be fully restored.
Oyebolu noted that the platform’s efficiencies could reduce booking times by up to 70 per cent while supporting more than 10,000 concurrent users. He projected that the system could process over ₦50 billion in domestic flight bookings within its first year of operation.
QuickAir said it plans to onboard at least 5,000 travel agents within six months, while existing clients can continue to access the upgraded system using their current login details. The relaunch comes as Nigeria’s domestic air travel market continues to grow at an annual rate of about 15 per cent, underscoring rising demand for innovative aviation technology solutions.
